 The main focus of The Economic Incentives Division is to assist with the implementation of commercial, industrial and retail development projects that promote job creation and retention and increase the tax base. While at the same time, assisting with neighborhood projects that revitalize communities.​

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Gateway Lighting   Due: 2/29/2016 at 5:00 pm

The City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) and the International Marketplace Coalition (IMC) are requesting proposals from qualified electrical (design) firms for the design of enhanced lights features at three iconic gateway structures installed in the area in 2014. The project is part of the City & IMC's ongoing effort to "Win the Night" in the International Marketplace, and the goal is to improve visibility and sense of destination and place that will encourage business development. Secondary Gateways​    Due: 2/29/2016 at 5:00 pm

The City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) and the International Marketplace Coalition (IMC) are requesting proposals from qualified Vendors to recommend improvements to secondary gateway features installed within the International Marketplace (IM) in 2014.  In addition, the selected Vendor will provide biddable specifications for the fabrication of four additional secondary gateway elements for installation at a fourth intersection in the area. This project seeks to improve the original designs while also expanding the IM branding effort to a portion of the area that was not addressed in the initial project. CRED Mixed-Use Zoning District​   Due: 3/07/2016 at 5:00 pm

The City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD), in conjunction with the International Marketplace Coalition (IMC), is requesting qualifications from firms with demonstrated national transit-oriented development planning experience to lead a mixed-use district planning exercise within the International Marketplace district, including the designated Community Revitalization Enhancement District (CRED).  This exercise will result in the creation of a plan that meets the prescribed requirements of new mixed-use (MU) district-scale zoning classifications provided in the new zoning ordinance, IndyRezone.  This exercise will also result in the establishment of a model process with DMD long range planning staff for replication in future MU processes. 38th Street Multi-Modal Pathway​   Due: 3/07/2016 at 5:00 pm

The City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD), in conjunction with the Department of Public Works (DPW), the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization and the International Marketplace Coalition, is requesting proposals for firms to conduct project scoping, preliminary design and preliminary cost estimates for a proposed multi-modal trail and related infrastructure in the West 38th Street Corridor for the purpose of improving non-vehicular access to the International Marketplace, Community Revitalization Enhancement District (CRED) from neighborhoods and institutions to the east, including Midtown, Marian University, Indianapolis Museum of Art,  Butler University, the State Fairgrounds, the Monon Trail and the White River Greenway.  Please note this project does not include the creation of final construction drawings or any construction Contact Ryan Hunt​ with any questions you may have.
