Carlos joins the Division of Neighborhood Services from the private sector having worked in various fields such as International Management and Commercial Construction Operations. Carlos returned to Indianapolis and worked in the private sector, having been involved in the business community along the West Washington St. corridor before deciding it was time to begin public service work.
Carlos studied Political Science at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN where he served on various school boards and the student government. Carlos then went on to finish his Doctorate of Jurisprudence two years later from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA.
Since College Carlos has been volunteering his services as a translator/interpreter for non-English speakers and has also participated in Peer mentoring programs that provide a “Big-Brother” type involvement with younger children.
