Ruth Ann Walker

 

Ruth Ann comes to the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services from the private sector having worked in various fields such as Commercial Real Estate Management and Operations to dedicating herself in family counseling for the U.S. Army Chaplains Services.

She was elected to the MSD Warren Township Board of Education in 2006, and she continues to serve as a member of various educational and community advisory boards. 

She established innumerable and valuable relationships within Warren Township while promoting the Warren Pride Clean-up (the largest one day clean up in the state of Indiana), and the Warren Township Development Association.  Ruth Ann also served on neighborhood boards and on advisory boards and committees for MSD Warren Township Adult & Continuing Education, Walker Career Center and La Plaza.

Ruth Ann has been the recipient of numerous community, city and national awards, including the 2003 Mayor's Volunteer Person of the Year, 2003 Keep Indianapolis Beautiful Volunteer of the Year Award, and the 2004 RTV6 Leadership Award.

While Ruth Ann's fifteen years background in commercial development, she brings a strong and excellent understanding of commercial-retail-residential economic trends, real estate issues, including developing, building, rezoning, and the revitalizing communities.
