East 38th Street Corridor Plan

Project Description:
The East 38th Street Corridor Plan is being prepared to conserve and enhance existing community assets and to promote beneficial growth and improve the quality of life.  The plan will serve as a guide for land use and zoning decisions and public and private improvements in the corridor. Parts of these segments of the Indianapolis-Marion County Comprehensive Plan will be updated:

East 38th Street Corridor study area (map) is located along the southern border of Lawrence Township, and the City of Lawrence and the northern border of Warren Township on the far eastside of Indianapolis.  The corridor plan will update the city's adopted land use and development plans for the area.

Planning Process:
The process will engage stakeholders in shaping goals, objectives and strategies for the corridor. The process will build community leadership and connect neighbors with tools and resources and improve communications.

Next Public Meeting:
We are moving into the central section of the East 38th Street Corridor study area.
