POSITION:  Deputy Director of Finance

SALARY: $37,430.00 - $50,529.00

POSITION SUMMARY: This position provides managerial insight/coordination to fiscal control procedures for Community Corrections.  Devises, implements and monitors cash management/accounting procedures; serves as liaison between various agencies/institutions

QUALIFICATIONS:   Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriately related field and three-five years of experience in the criminal justice system including two years in a supervisory role.  Must have good mathematical and analytical skills.  Ability to work with peers and build effective relationships requires a high level of inter-personal, problem solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of spreadsheet(s), database(s), and other software is required. Must be able to type, update and/or create reports, and spreadsheets as needed.

SALARY: $42,355.00 - $78,526.00

POSITION SUMMARY: Directs and oversees all Community Corrections programming.  Oversees, plans and implements the financial budgets of the agency.  Prepares all grants.  Responsible for securing funding from all possible sources including government and private contributors.  Coordinates and oversees the supervision and performance of entire agency staff and contractual staff.  Monitors personnel matters such as recruitment, promotion, disciplinary action if needed, termination.  Establishes and enforces policies of the Board and establishes procedures for implementation of polices.  Acts as a liaison with the City County Council, State officials and departments such as the Department of Correction, Criminal Justice administrators at the sate and local level, key elected officials in the public policy arena such as the Mayor, Sheriff, Prosecutor, Public Defender, legislators, Judges and the Courts.  Providing information including but not limited to, statistical data, and funding requests.  Also coordinates all community and media relations.
Negotiates, coordinates, and is responsible for the performance and evaluation of contracts.  Directs and oversees needs assessment, performance, and evaluation of all programs, facilities, and staff.  Is responsible for future programs and budget needs assessment, fiscal planning and evaluative measure.  Monitors the preparation of statistical data, annual reports required by statute, and any other reports required by local, state or federal agencies.  Ensures that agency operates in accordance with state statute, local ordinances and County’s Board of Health rules and regulations pertaining to safety and client care.  Provides testimony or information to legislative committees or information as needed or requested.  Performs other related duties of a comparable level/type as required by the Advisory Board.  Acts as a final authority over all client; resident grievance requests.  Maintains on call status hours per day, seven days per week.  This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time. 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university.  Prefer degree criminal justice, social or behavioral sciences, or related field.  Specialized training, extensive experience and or Master’s Degree in management required.
