​Art S​hows 

The Eagle Creek Earth Discovery Center​ hosts three art shows a year that focus on nature-themed art work, as well as an "Artist of the Month" on display in the Earth Discovery Center hallways.  All art shows are free with park admission.  Many of the pieces are for sale, with a percentage of sales going to support the Eagle Creek Park Foundation.  For more information about Art Shows or Artist of the Month, please contact Leah Frenzel., 317-327-1196.

This exhibit will showcase the best woodcarvers and turners in the Midwest. Artists will be on hand to discuss their work, demonstrate techniques, and share colorful stories.

September 24-October 2, 2016 Images of Nature Photography Exhibit and Competition

Images of Nature is sponsored by the Eagle Creek Park Foundation and presented by the Riviera Camera Club. This exhibit is open to all amateur and professional photographers who reside in Indiana.  Each photographer may submit up to 3 entries; all entries must be "nature only"- no domestic plants or animals, roads, buildings, humans, etc.

When:  September 24-October 2, Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm, Sundays 1pm-5pm

Entry Drop Off: September 10th, 9am-5pm and September 11th, 1pm-5pm at the Eagle Creek Earth Discovery Center. 

Artist reception Friday, September 23, 6pm-8pm.  Please print out the registration forms, read the requirements carefully, and bring the completed forms along with your entries to the Earth Discovery Center.​

 

 

December 3-11, 2016 Celebration of Nature Art Exhibit

Celebration of Nature is sponsored by the Eagle Creek Park Foundation, and includes all media (painting, photography, sculpture, prints, carving, etc.).  Each artist may submit up to three entries, subject matter must emphasize the natural world, with no domestic plants or animals, roads, buildings, humans, etc.  

When:  December 3-11, Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm, Sundays 1pm-5pm
