Meet A Raptor, 4pm at the Ornithology Center. Have you ever glared at a bird of prey up close? Meet a live bird of prey and find out where raptors live, what they eat, and much more. Free with park admission.
Nature Discovery Class, 1:30pm at the Earth Discovery Center. Stop by on the weekend for a fun activity at the Earth Discovery Center! Topics vary - possible activities include nature hikes, insects, pond life, simple crafts, and more! Free with park admission.
Sunday Morning Birdwalk, 9am-11am at the Ornithology Center. Join a group of new and experienced birders for a brisk morning bird walk! Meets every Sunday morning at Eagle Creek Ornithology Center, rain or shine. The walk is not geared specifically toward children, but they are welcome to attend! Free with park admission.
Feeding Time, 1:30pm at the Earth Discovery Center. Watch as our educational reptiles, amphibians and other critters enjoy their lunch! You'll learn some natural history about each animal along the way. On the menu: worms, defrosted mice, salad, crickets, and frozen bloodworms, yum! Free with park admission.
Saturdays & Sundays
Feathered Fun, 2:30pm at the Ornithology Center. Join a naturalist at the Ornithology Center to discover the world of birds. Topics could include hikes, birds of prey, migration, and more! Program time may change depending on activity - call 327-BIRD for daily details. Please call ahead if bringing a large group. All ages, free with park admission.
First Annual Eagle Creek Park Foundation Garden Tour 10am-4pm, homes and gardens near Eagle Creek Park. All proceeds from the tour go to benefit Eagle Creek Park! Participants will receive a map of the homes with participating gardens in early June, and may visit each garden in whatever order they wish, and stay as long as they like! Highlights include a Reservoir waterfront with a classic British heritage, a whimsical Brownsburg hideaway, a woodland gem nestled deep inside West 86th, and a professional design by Eagle Creek Nursery in the Golden Hill neighborhood. Your Garden Tour ticket also covers your admittance to the park for that entire day. Once you have taken in the beauty of the gardens you can enjoy the many other amenities that Eagle Creek Park has to offer! Volunteers will verity tickets at each location, please respect the privacy of home owners and only visit gardens during tour hours. Tickets are $15 for ECPF members, $20 for non-members - purchase at www.eaglecreekpark.org
