Peace Learning Center Family Program:  12pm-1:30pm at the Peace Learning Center.  Session 3: "Can we talk?"- Participants will describe what they feel are the causes of conflicts or problems within a family.  No family will be singled out; rather, participants will describe a "generic" family.  This will allow participants to think about their own family's dynamics without revealing personal information.  $30/family, register online at http://peacelearningcenter.org/summer-fun-family-workshop/  ​​​

HOW TO SERIES: Identifying Bird Songs  ​6pm-8pm at the Ornithology Center. Wouldn't you love to know which bird wakes you up in the morning with its beautiful song outside your window? Next Indiana Campfires - Eagle Creek Park Paddling Tour and Campfire Discussion  7pm-10:30pm at Marina and Earth Discovery Center.  Sponsored by Indiana Humanities in celebration of Indiana's 200th year as a state, Next Indiana Campfires are a unique way to connect nature, literature, and Indiana's Bicentennial.  Trek and talk with us! During this outing, a humanities scholar will serve as facilitator and lead attendees on the route, stopping periodically to read aloud the words of important Hoosier authors. We’ll be joined by a naturalists who will point out interesting finding along our adventure. Participants will then gather around a campfire to discuss connections between nature, literature and place. Join Indiana Humanities, Eagle Creek Outfitters and Eagle Creek Park for a two-hour sunset paddling tour on Eagle Creek Reservoir and Fishback Creek, followed by discussion and food at the Earth Discovery Center. Indiana Master Naturalist Series  Meets10 sessions, Thursday evenings 6pm-9pm at the Earth Discovery Center through October 13. The mission of the Indiana Master Naturalist program is to bring together natural resources specialists with adult learners to foster an understanding of Indiana's plants, water, soils, and wildlife, and promote volunteer service in local communities.  $75  IN Master Naturalist 2016 brochure and registration​

Coffee and Canvas  ​10am-12pm at the Ornithology Center. 
Come to the Ornithology Center for fresh shade-grown coffee (and other beverages) and a step-by-step art class where you will create a beautiful bird painting to take home. 
A little nervous to paint? Don't worry! No talent or experience is necessary. 
The program fee includes park admission and all art supplies (canvas, acrylic paint, and brushes).
