FUTURE: First Tee Indy Parks and Recreation is building a 15.5-acre First Tee Facility located between Winthrop Street (to the west), the Monon Trail (east), and 25th Street (south) and 28th Street (north.) This $2-million capital investment in the city's near north side will be home to Indy Parks' Junior golf program, and serve as a teaching facility for all ages.
The facility will feature:
- driving range
- short hole course
- putting green
- clubhouse
Projected completion date: 2009 (subject to change)

ABOUT FIRST TEE The First Tee mission is to "impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character-development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf."
The First Tee is a World Golf Foundation initiative dedicated to providing young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. The intent is to offer opportunities for improvement in the quality of life and create a platform where children can increase their potential for success. First Tee reaches youth ages 8-17. Indianapolis is one of four First Tee Chapters in Indiana (others located at English, Hammond, and Valparaiso.)
