Plesant Run Trail

Much of Pleasant Run flows with the stream and the stately roadway of the same name; in other places, the trail seeks the most natural passage through neighborhood boundaries, using the same sidewalks as residents.

Greenway Description

The Pleasant Run Trail is currently a 6.9 mile trail that begins at Ellenberger Park, connects to Christian Park and ends at Garfield Park, near the intersection of Raymond Street and Pleasant Run Parkway.  The trail meanders along Pleasant Run Creek offering a paved route for walking, bicycling, rollerblading.  The Pleasant Run Trail connects recreation facilities such as the Kin Hubbard Memorial and Garfield Park & Conservatory.  All three parks have loop trails that provide an additional 2 miles of trail.

When completed, the Pleasant Run Trail will run north toward I-70, south toward downtown Indianapolis and will connect to the White River Greenway Trail in 2009.
