"Bark Parks"
CANINE COMPANION ZONES
Indy Parks and Recreation currently has three Bark Parks, or Canine Companion Zones, at Broad Ripple Park, Eagle Creek Park and Paul Ruster Park where owners and their four-legged friends can enjoy the company of others, off leash! 

 


Annual Pooch Pass
Annual "Pooch Passes" are based on the calendar year (January-December). Passes include a tag for your dog, and a gate access device for you. Please note: separate Pooch Passes are required for each bark park, OR, you may purchase a VIP pass good for all three parks.  Fees are subject to change.

**VIP Pass - Very Important Pooch - Good for all 3 bark parks! Discount available for 2nd & 3rd dogs. Available for purchase at Broad Ripple Park Office only.

To obtain a Pooch Pass, come to the appropriate park office with your dog's vaccination records documenting current inoculations for Rabies, Parvo, Distemper and Bordetella. Complete the application form, sign the waiver, and pick up the dog park brochure.

Broad Ripple passes: available at Broad Ripple Park Office; pick up application there.(Daily, Annual, and VIP)

Eagle Creek  Daily passes: available at  56th St. Gate only
Eagle Creek Annual passes: available at EC Park Office only

passes: available at Post Road Community Park . Pick up an application there.

 Please note: Dogs without a Pooch Pass are not verified for current vaccinations. For your safety and that of your dog, please do not allow others to enter the area without an access card and/or a tag.



ETIQUETTE & RULES

Use of the Canine Companion Zone is a privilege.  Please do not allow unacceptable or irresponsible behavior to ruin the fun for other users.

Indy Parks strives to provide a fun, safe environment for you and your dog(s).  However, by using this facility you agree that you understand and assume all responsibility and liability for the risks of unleashing your dog(s) in the facility.

These risks include, but are not limited to:

1. Dog fights, dog bites and injuries to humans and other dogs;
2. Infectious diseases such as rabies, kennel cough or Lyme disease;
3. Dog theft or unlawful capture by other people;
4. Dog escape over or under fences;
5. Plants and/or water sources in the park that may be poisonous to dogs;
6. Park vegetation that may have burrs or seeds that could get tangled in a dog's coat or lodge in a dog's feet, ears, or eyes;
7. Mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, fleas or other insects that may be present;
8. Wild animals in the parks such as skunks, raccoons, badgers or stray dogs, all of which might injure or infect your dog(s).

The Canine Companion Zone is not staffed or supervised by any agent or employee of Indy Parks or the City of Indianapolis at any time. Users therefore are required to abide by posted rules and etiquette at all times while on the premises.

Dog owners/keepers and individuals accompanying them use the facility entirely at their own risk and that of their dog(s). Owners/keepers are responsible and liable for the actions and behavior of their dogs at all times. Neither Indy Parks nor the City of Indianapolis assumes liability for loss, damage, or any kind of injury sustained by any human or dog while using any of the Canine Companion Zones.
