About the Garfield Park Arts Center

The Garfield Park Arts Center engages Indianapolis residents in diverse, artistic and cultural exhibits, arts classes and special events. It features performing arts spaces, visual arts galleries, classrooms and a literary arts library. The galleries, rich with exhibits of local and regional art, are open to the public at no charge.

 

 

About Arts for All
Discover your creative side! Come explore performance, visual ​and language arts through fun, hands-on activities in the Arts for All room at the Garfield Park Arts Center. Whether you are painting, print-making, sand sculpting, playing an instrument or other arts activity, Arts for All activities engage you more deeply with the themes displayed in the Art Center's exhibits. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Come be creative with us this weekend!

The Arts for All room is open: Saturdays Noon - 4pm, Sundays 1-5pm.

Directions

  • From I-65:
  • Take the Raymond Street Exit, Exit 109
  • Head west on Raymond Street
  • Turn south (left) on Shelby Street
  • Turn west (right) onto Conservatory Drive into the park (The Sunken Gardens and Conservatory will be on the left.)
  • Continue west into the park on Conservatory Drive.
  • When you come to a "Y" in the road, veer left, continue over the bridge, and turn right into the parking lot.
  • The Arts Center will be at the end of the large parking lot.

 

  • From Downtown Indianapolis:
  • Head South on East Street.
  • Turn east (left) on Raymond Street.
  • Turn south (right) on Shelby.
  • Turn west (right) onto Conservatory Drive and into the Park. (The Sunken Gardens and Conservatory will be on the left.)
  • Continue west into the park on Conservatory Drive.
  • When you come to a "Y" in the road, veer left, continue over the bridge, and turn right into the parking lot.
  • The Arts Center will be at the end of the large parking lot.
