ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION GROUP PROGRAMS
The Indy Parks Environmental Education naturalists can bring nature to your classroom, daycare, youth service organization, day camp and more!
All programs are developed based on the Indiana Academic Standards and can be customized to complement individual classroom or group lesson plans and curriculum.
Spanish language programs can be accommodated based on Naturalist's schedule. Please contact Michele Conyer for more information or for scheduling.
Environmental Education Outreach Programming by Grade
NATURE DISCOVERY TRAILER
Our unique Nature Discovery Trailer is a mobile nature center that can literally bring nature to your school, daycare, youth organization or community event. Inside our 24 foot long, 8 foot wide, self-contained nature center/classroom, you will see animals and plants that are distinctive to three diverse Indiana habitats.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
The Indy Parks Environmental Education Outreach Naturalist staff can compliment your community event with either the Nature Discovery Trailer or a booth. In keeping with our core mission, Outreach Naturalist staff are dedicated to providing quality environmental awareness to the community. Through participation at community events, Outreach naturalists seek to encourage nature based opportunities,and exploring the natural world as well as developing a sense of community with our environment.
