INDIANAPOLIS – The City of Indianapolis Animal Care & Control Division will host its 3rd annual Adoption Festival.
WHEN: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Saturday, July 20 WHERE: Indianapolis Animal Care & Control2600 S. Harding St.
Since the festival began in 2000, more than 60 dogs and cats have been adopted from Animal Care & Control during this single day event.
“Many people do not realize that animals can be adopted from our facility,” Administrator Jim Garrard said. “This event helps raise awareness to the many healthy, homeless animals in need of a loving family.”
The Adoption Festival will have fun for the entire family. There will be a cutest pet contest, games, prizes, Barney face painting, raffles, a dunk tank and Indianapolis Police Department, Indianapolis Fire Department and Indy Parks demonstrations and much, much more!
The Animal Care & Control Division (ACCD) works in partnership with the community to address problems associated with pet over population, to promote responsible pet ownership and to enhance the health and safety of the community. ACCD encourages the adoption of pets, enforces ordinances and laws regarding animal–related issues and conducts inspections for the licensing of facilities that sell, groom and kennel animals. ACCD endeavors to administer programs and services in a professional and compassionate manner at all times.
