Welcome to Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (EMS), a division of the City of IndianapolisDepartment of Public Safety.

Indianapolis EMS was formed to continue and advance high-quality EMS care and maximize efficiency, quality of care, education, training, research, revenue and accountability for EMS in Marion County. On July 15, 2010, Indianapolis Mayor Gregory A. Ballard announced the formation of a unified system, and Indianapolis EMS began operation on Dec. 26, 2010. The mission of Indianapolis EMS is: Right Care. Right Patient. Every Time.
