Special Events or Education Request Form

Are you hosting or need education at a community event and would like to have the Indianapolis Fire Department attend?

If your event requires a PERMIT and you have not applied for one, please go to this page first, before requesting IFD: http://www.indygov.org/Services/Pages/permits.aspx

Once your permit has been approved, you may fill out this form to request our presence.

As part of our commitment to the citizens of Indianapolis we are happy to assist as long the Fire Department has no previous commitments or training during that time frame.

Due to the number of requests we receive, especially in the summer months, we may not be able to attend your event.

All requests must be made at least 30 days in advance. If you would like to submit a request, please fill out the questionnaire below and send it in. If we are unable to fulfill your request, we will notify you by return e-mail within 7 business days.

Please keep these thoughts in mind when making a submission. All filled requests will be assigned as “IN SERVICE” details…which means that if the apparatus gets an emergency response..,they will have to respond. Unfortunately, if they are on a emergency run prior to your event time, they may not be able to appear at your event. It will then be up to the individual apparatus to decide whether or not they will be able to fulfill your request.

The Indianapolis Fire Department is unable to accommodate Birthday Parties at the fire station and “auction” events for an day/ride along at the firehouse.

If you are requesting WATER such as a dunk tank fill, street slushing or the like, you must go through the water company and obtain a permit for water usage. You will then be responsible for filling it.
