The station was formerly Warren Township Fire Department Station # 444. On July 1, 2007 the Warren Township FD merged with the Indianapolis Fire Department and this station became Indianapolis FD Station # 44. Currently, Engine # 44, Ladder # 44 Haz-Mat # 44
and Ambulance # 44 respond from here.
