INDIANA LICENSE TO CARRY A HANDGUN
COMPLETE THESE STEPS IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR A LICENSE:
-          Apply online with the Indiana State Police (ISP) at www.in.gov/isp (Click the link on the left hand side for Firearms Licensing).
-          Complete the State’s online application process, which includes paying your State license fee (currently $30 for a 4 year license, $75 for a lifetime license).
-          All citizens who live within IMPD’s jurisdiction need to go to L1 Solutions (Morpho Trust) to be fingerprinted for your application.  The ISP website has a link to an appointment scheduler for this company, which has general information and a contact phone number for questions.  These prints are required and are sent to the ISP (IMPD does not provide fingerprinting service for licensing to carry a handgun).
-          Go to your local police agency for the jurisdiction in which you live (Which police department would respond if you called 911?  This could be Indianapolis (IMPD), Beech Grove, Lawrence, or Speedway, etc.), in order to complete the License to Carry a Handgun permit process, and to pay your local fee. The local fee is currently $10 for a 4 year license or $50 for a lifetime license, or $40… for a lifetime license if you currently have a non-expired IN handgun license.
Bring your Indiana drivers’ license or ID card with you, and your ISP Application Number.
Cash, certified check, Money Order, or debit and credit cards are all accepted.

-          For those within the jurisdiction of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, you will need to go to IMPD Citizen Services to complete your application process:
