Making a difference
Residents, community groups, businesses, and governments all benefit from clean, beautiful rivers and streams in Indianapolis. Caring for the beauty and safety of our neighborhoods increases property values, makes them more enjoyable places to live, and attracts and retains business. Clean waterways provide safe places for us to fish, boat, hike, and play, and they provide a vital habitat for animals and plants.
Everyone can make a difference in keeping our streams clean and healthy. We must work together to protect and enhance the White River and many streams that flow through our neighborhoods.
Your contribution could include disconnecting your downspouts from the sewer system, properly disposing of fats, oils and grease, or becoming a member of the Clean Stream Team.
