The Department of Public Works strives to keep our city looking its best and our neighborhoods are no exception.
For the residents of Indianapolis, DPW staff and contractors work to maintain aesthetic appearances and improve quality of life by patching potholes, coordinating trash pick-up, leaf collection, recycling, dead animal pick-up, and graffiti removal, just to name a few.
DPW is also responsible for keeping water clean and flowing to your home. While DPW manages the city's two wastewater treatment plants and sewage collection system, the city also conducts a program to improve water quality in Indianapolis neighborhoods.
City partnerships have helped strengthen DPW's commitment to keeping Indy clean. Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) conducts neighborhood cleanups each year to maintain our City's vitality.
