The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick is a world-class urban bike and pedestrian path that connects neighborhoods, cultural districts and entertainment amenities as well as serves as the downtown hub for the entire central Indiana greenway system. The trail is routinely used by those living, visiting and working downtown for access to shopping, eating and entertainment. The Cultural Trail was made possible by a large public and private collaboration led by Central Indiana Community Foundation, the City of Indianapolis and several not-for-profit organizations devoted to building a better, more livable city.
In addition to the trail connecting the community, the design and construction of the trail includes green infrastructure elements, such as rain gardens that not only beautify the corridors but also help the City manage storm water more efficiently. Also included along the trail are sculptures and other works of public art.
