Aaron Freeman worked as a Marion County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for nearly five years. Aaron prosecuted all level of crimes, from misdemeanors to murder. Aaron served three and a half years in the Grand Jury Division, where he prosecuted white collar crime and handled complex criminal investigations. Aaron also served in the Homicide Unit, prosecuting murder and attempt murder cases.  Aaron has been in private practice since 2009, currently owning the Freeman Law Office, LLC. in Franklin Township in Indianapolis.
While in law school, Aaron clerked for Federal District Court Judge Joe Billy McDade, in the Central District of Illinois. Aaron also clerked for the United States Attorney's Office in the Central District of Illinois.
Prior to his legal career, Aaron was an Emergency 911 Dispatcher and an Emergency Medical Technician in Franklin County, Indiana.  Aaron also served as a reserve deputy sheriff for the Union County Sheriff’s Department, in southeast Indiana.
Aaron has served on the Indianapolis Marion County City County Council representing district 25 since March of 2010.  Aaron currently serves on the public safety committee and the municipal corporations committees of the council.  Aaron has past chaired the ethics committee and served on the economic development committee.  Aaron is an elected Republican precinct committeeman in Franklin Township and is the current President of the Franklin Township Republican Club.   
Aaron is married to Heather Freeman and they have two children, Jack and Cooper.
