Indianapolis - Councillor Isaac Randolph will be a panelist for the National Association of Black Journalist’s (NABJ) WEB DuBois Lecture. Councillor Randolph will speak on the topic of ‘Leadership in the Black Community’.
"I’m honored to have an opportunity to talk about how to help our community grow and prosper," said Councillor Randolph.
The lecture will begin at 11:30 a.m. in Indiana Convention Center’s Sagamore Ballroom. The panel will also include national activist Reverend Al Sharpton and Democratic National Committee Vice Chair Lottie Shackleford.
Councillor Randolph said, "There is no substitute for good leadership and no direction without it. Whether working on a fire truck or working with kids, I've always believed that each of us are leaders in our own right and have a moral obligation to challenge ourselves and our community with a simple statement. We Can Do Better."
Indianapolis is hosting the 31st Annual Convention of the organization week.
Councillor Randolph represents District 1 and has been on the Indianapolis Fire Department for 19 years.
