 NOTE:  Effective October 1, 2010, the Marion County Auditor's Office will no longer handle Property Transfers and Deeds.  All Property Transfers and Deeds will be handled by the Marion County Assessor's Office beginning October 1, 2010.

  • Indiana law requires Form 46021 to be completed when a conveyance document is filed with the county auditor (IC 6-1.1-5.5).  Marion County does not require acreage or lot size information.

Property Tax Benefits Form

In accordance with IC 6-1.1-12-43, the State of Indiana has prescribed Form 51781 titled "Indiana Property Tax Benefits" to be used by closing agents, which outlines available deductions and credits to homeowners.

Effective January 1, 2005, a closing agent is subject to a civil penalty of $25.00 for each instance in which the closing agent fails to comply with this section in respect to a customer.  This form must be printed on gold or yellow paper.
