Clerk White applauds first step toward re-precincting in Marion County
“This is a good sign and an important first step in efforts to reform our electoral system. While the process has a long way to go, I’m optimistic about the opportunity for successfully reducing the number of precincts and pleased with the bi-partisan work already accomplished,” White said.
While having no official role in the process, White thanked those involved and stressed the importance of new and fewer precincts in the Presidential Election in 2008.
“These efforts will go a long way toward making 2008 a watershed year in terms of election reform and securing a smooth, efficient electoral process in Marion County,” said White.
