More early voting options available to
Marion County voters tomorrow

INDIANAPOLIS – Early voting will become even more convenient when the Marion County Election Board opens two satellite early voting locations on Thursday, October 23.

The selections were based on recommendations from a bi-partisan study committee and approved unanimously by the Board this summer. In addition to the Clerk’s office downtown, the two satellite sites are:

• J. Everett Light Career Center located on the campus of North Central High School, 1901 E. 86th St.
• Southport Community Center, 6901 Derbyshire Rd.

Both satellite locations are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, including weekends. The last day to vote at a satellite location is Sunday, November 2.

Expanded early voting hours at the Clerk’s office also begin tomorrow. Marion County Clerk Beth White is opening the Clerk’s office from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. To make parking easier at the City-County Building, voters can use the city’s gravel lot and receive one-hour of free parking. The parking pass is valid only at the lot located on the southeast corner of Market and Alabama streets.

All three early voting sites will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the two weekends before the election – October 25, 26 and November 1, 2.  Early voting ends at noon, Monday, November 3 at the Clerk’s office location only.
