Last weekend before Marion County’s Special Election filled with activity
INDIANAPOLIS – Halloween is not just an important day for ghosts and goblins; Saturday is a busy day for the staff of the Marion County Election Board, too.
This weekend Marion County’s four early voting locations – City-County Building, HealthPlex, Devington Plaza and Beech Grove Community Center – are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voters do not need a reason to vote early, but do need to show a valid, photo ID issued by the state of Indiana or federal government. The last day of early voting is Sunday, November 1.
Inspectors are also required to pick up their Election Day supplies at one of four regional locations around the county on Saturday. These sites are open to from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Marion County Clerk Beth White will be visiting early voting locations and the regional supply pick-up sites to ensure operations are running smoothly. Besides early voting and supply pick-up, Saturday is the last day for poll worker training. Poll worker training is being held at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the Julia Carson Center located on Fall Creek Parkway.
