Old Records Department

If you are looking for old court records from Marion County, Indiana, the table below provides guidance on where to find them.
 
Due to the volume of record requests received by this office, staff cannot assist customers with in-depth genealogy research.
 
All customers are encouraged to begin their research no less than one hour prior to the close of business when researching in the Records Department and/or Microfilm Library. These offices are located at 1330 South Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
 
The Records Department is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.
 
The Microfilm Library is open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. The Microfilm Library is closed from Noon to 1:00 PM Monday through Friday.
  
Records for active or pending civil and criminal cases can be found in the court office where the case is being heard. Click here for Marion County's court listing. Limited FREE public information can be found at http://mycase.in.gov.
