Human Resources

The I-MCFSA is accredited through ASCLD/LAB-International which requires that individuals analyzing forensic evidence meet and maintain certain criteria while employed by an accredited laboratory and, in some cases, before being hired. It is the responsibility of the Human Resources Section to ensure that job announcements meet all required criteria and individuals selected for various positions throughout the agency possess the educational requirements, along with knowledge, skills and ability to successfully perform the job. Training and Development criteria are also met on an annual basis and maintained by the Human Resources Section. Newly trained employees are required to successfully complete a competency test before permitted to analyze cases. They are also proficiency tested on a regular basis to ensure they maintain the skills required to perform the job. Certification as a Professional in Human Resources, (PHR), from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), has allowed member access to a number of tools to determine the needs of the laboratory, to Federal and State rules and regulations, along with various reference materials when needed. The section acts as liaison between the agency and City/County Human Resources.

Vacancies within the agency are posted at the City/County HR Website.
