24Seven

Currently, MECA utilizes the Tiburon Fire Records Management 7.1 system to manage records and documents.  This integrated system provides fire and EMS reporting as well as fire prevention, training and personnel modules. This system is integrated with the Computer Aided Dispatch system. Tiburon installed the system in 1994.  Recently, Tiburon introduced an updated version of Fire Records System entitled 24Seven.

MECA, as well as Fire and EMS personnel within the Public Safety community in Marion County are spearheading the initiative to upgrade to the 24Seven software.  24Seven tracks complete fire incident management and integrates data from the CAD and field inspections.  The system also generates reports that accommodate NFIRS 5.0 Federal reporting requirement, records, all key operational information and includes tools for analysis and management functions.

The 24Seven software has an easy to use Microsoft Windows system with full Web functionality.  It also has real-time XML Web Services.  Forms and reports can be individualized with user-defined rules and data elements.  24Seven has the capability to meet not only present demands, but also future demands and has comprehensive analysis and reporting capabilities.  24Seven has more efficient reporting capabilities than the current system.  Lastly, 24Seven does not require Oracle database licenses.

TeleStaff

TeleStaff is a staffing program that the Marion County Fire Departments will use for daily staffing and payroll. Telestaff will replace the current telephone staffing system which requires a user to manually call staff. Telestaff is accessible from the internet, work computers or anywhere there is Internet access for viewing by staff.

MECA is in the testing phase of the project. MECA has installed telephone lines needed for the system, as well as the necessary servers. Testing of each Fire agency's database and internal components such as outbound calling, contact manager and task manager have began.

MECA has also installed and is hosting the web server called WebStaff. The TeleStaff  (http://telestaff.mecagov.org ) website has been completed and is operational. Webstaff users will be able to:

  • View personal calendars
  • Request work through the available features
  • Request/record work exceptions
  • Remove availability and exception work codes (if definition allows)
  • Receive notifications sent by the TeleStaff system
  • View and change select personal data including telephone numbers
  • View roster for any date
  • View detailed work history report over any date range
