The Marion County Prosecutor's Office and our community partners, Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Child Services and Angie's List, are pleased to introduce your family to Computer Cop software monitoring as part of your comprehensive Internet safety plan.
At every age, children require protection and guidance. With Internet access so readily available at home, school and the local library, parents must be extra vigilant to know what is happening in their children's "online lives." The Internet can be a dangerous place for children and teenagers if left unsupervised.
Predators have no problem finding potential young victims online, even posing as children in chat rooms and instant messaging. they use the Internet's anonymity to their advantage to groom young victims. Many children receive sexual solicitations from online predators and never tell their parents. Home computer technology has also revolutionized the ease, cost and distribution of pornography on an international scale.
Using computer software monitoring is a personal family decision. Please do your part to keep your children safe on the Internet. Whether or not you choose to use software monitroing tools, talk to your children about their Internet experiences and the far reaching consequences of poor choices. For a free copy of Computer Cop, please contact my office at (317) 327-5600.
Sincerely,
