The Misdemeanor/Domestic Violence and D Felony Divisions are responsible for representing indigent adults who are charged with Felonies.
Each attorney handles 150 cases a year and spends the majority of his/her time in court. Often the first contact a client will have with his attorney is at the first pre-trial conference. The volume of cases in these courts makes it difficult to meet with every client before his/her first court date.
If a client has an urgent matter before his court date and cannot reach his attorney immediately, he should leave a message via voice mail or with the paralegal assigned to his court.
