The Marion County Recorder’s office is excited to announce that we are now accepting conveyance documents electronically through Simplifile.
Simplifile has provided the ability to route documents through all of the appropriate offices at no cost to the County.
The product has been tested over past weeks and all involved agencies are now acclimated with the process and ready to accept transfer documents.
At this time Simplifile is the only vendor being used for electronically recording conveyance documents.
In the future, we hope to bring other vendors onboard.
If you do not already have a vendor, we suggest that you research all of the eRecording vendors as their products and additional counties in which they provide their services do vary.

Julie Voorhies, Marion County Recorder, is proud to announce the addition of Electronic Recording or eRecording to the services we provide the public.
eRecording is the opportunity to record documents via the Internet. This technology will allow secure and efficient recording of real estate documents. The Recorder’s Office is able to electronically record deeds, mortgages and other documents in cooperation with the Marion County Auditor and County Assessor.
In order to eRecord it is necessary that you acquire electronic access to transmit the documents. We have listed below information for the vendors that have contacted us to provide this access. Also, included is information on each of the specific vendors and presentation information that the vendors are offering. If interested in the eRecording option and you do not already have a vendor, we recommend that you research each particular vendor before making a decision.
