We are pleased to present SLAUGHTERHOUSE-FIVE written by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. as the “One Book, One City” choice for this year’s theme – “What if all of Indianapolis read a book by Kurt Vonnegut?” Considered by many to be an indispensable achievement in twentieth-century writing, we hope this contemporary classic will spark your interest and encourage you to discuss the currency of its societal issues. Learn more about Slaughterhouse-five. This year’s reading campaign is part of “The Year of Vonnegut,” a community-wide celebration honoring the life, literature and heritage of Indianapolis’ native son.

Thank you for being a part of our citywide Vonnegut book club and celebration.
