"Building World Class Schools for a World Class City"
  • Education Flex-Time for parents or primary caregivers of school-aged children, which gives them the ability to rearrange their work schedule to attend a parent-teacher conference or school related activity; and

  • Education Volunteer Leave Time, which allows all non-sworn employees to volunteer at a qualified school or school corporation.

The above benefit policies present a defined course of action that will ultimately benefit young people in this city. With the support of city employees, as well as area schools, this program has the potential to impact countless children. Already, Indianapolis Monthly magazine has recognized our initiative in its August 2002 "Best Places to Work" issue.

To participate in the Putting Education First Program, please download the appropriate form and complete it at least two weeks prior to the school event.
