 Project Indy

Project Indy is Indianapolis’ first comprehensive youth jobs program. Mayor Hogsett first announced the creation of Project Indy in May of 2016, convening resources from across the private and non-profit sectors to provide job training, internships and employment opportunities to Indianapolis teens. The program quickly expanded thanks to a $2 million grant from the US Department of Labor and their Career Pathways for Youth: Summer Jobs and Beyond program, that helped to enhance and expand existing youth summer employment initiatives. In 2017, Mayor Hogsett announced the creation of an online portal and mobile app that aims to seamlessly connect program participants to prospective employers.
