Mayor Ballard's Youth Council

Mayor Greg Ballard

Mayor Ballard’s Office is taking applications for membership on the Mayor's Youth Council for the 2014-2015 academic year through June 27, 2014.

The Mayor’s Youth Council is a group of high school students from across Marion County who serve as the voice of Indianapolis youth within city government.

Mayor's Youth Council members are selected based on proven leadership skills, school activities and community involvement. Members are nominated by a school principal, guidance counselor, school superintendent, teacher, faith leader or the head of a community organization.

The Mayor's Youth Council members serve as advisors for Mayor Ballard’s administration, participate in community service projects and plan various programs and meetings.
