DPW builds and maintains streets, bridges and sidewalks and maintains Greenways/trails throughout Indianapolis. Our Engineering Division provides transportation and construction services to the citizens of Indianapolis by planning, developing and constructing capital improvement projects to improve the safety and traffic flow along Indianapolis roadways. Our Operations Division uses over 37 million pounds of asphalt annually in order to keep our streets smoother and safer. These services help bolster neighborhood pride, protect our investment in infrastructure and promote the safe and efficient movement of people, vehicles and goods.
