Office Changes
Effective September 1, 2014 the Criminal Clerk's Office in T-644 will relocate the first floor of the City-County Building in room W-122 and W-123. To learn more about these changes, click here. Effective October 20, the Microfilm Library's new hours will be from 9AM to 3PM, Monday-Friday.
Certified Mail Service
Recent changes to Indiana law (effective July 1, 2014) have made an impact on how the Clerk's Office charges for certified mail service to multiple addresses per party.  Please learn more here.
Marion County Civil and 
Criminal Courts on Odyssey
Last year Marion County Civil Courts moved to Odyssey—a statewide judicial case and financial management system. On June 6, 2014, the Criminal Division of the Marion County Superior Court will begin its conversion to Odyssey with full implementation taking effect June 16. The JUSTIS mainframe system will no longer be updated after June 6 but can be accessed during the conversion timeframe. JUSTIS will be decommissioned on September 30, 2014.  Learn more here.
Second Chance Law Statute Changes
Changes to the "second chance law" went into effect on July 1, 2013. While the types of criminal convictions that can be restricted from public view was expanded, the process changed significantly. Click here to learn more.
Filing Fees
State law dictates many civil filing fees. Click here to view the current amounts.
Mortgage Foreclosure Filing Fee $191
A state law that took effect May 10, 2013 re-instituted the $50 Mortgage Foreclosure Education Fee, increasing the cost of MF filings to $191. The law sunsets January 1, 2015.
