  • In the News:
  • On December 21, 2011, our community remembered 29 individuals who have experienced homelessness in Indianapolis and have passed away within the last year. At the annual Homeless Persons' Memorial Service, Ronald Lindsay shared his personal struggle with homelessness. With help from the Salvation Army Harbor Light Center and other programs, he is now employed and has housing. We invite you to view his story and this moving service.

  • Studies:

The Community Court of Indianapolis is a neighborhood-based court that handles lower-level misdemeanor criminal cases that greatly impact residents in the area it serves. The Court's primary purpose is to reduce criminal activity by addressing issues that lead to criminal behavior such as substance abuse, homelessness, and the need for public assistance. The Court strives to improve the community by requiring defendants to "pay back" the community for their crime through community service work.
